Today marks the launch of RightNetwork, backed by Kelsey Grammer. You can check it out online (which is where I watch TV anyway) at www.rightnetwork.com.
I had the opportunity to meet some of the people behind the project in Las Vegas in July (full disclosure: they gave me a sweet t-shirt) and I hope they have what will prove to be a winning idea. If they figure out how to cross the political/entertainment/cultural barrier, they’ll find success. There is a vacuum on our side of the aisle and I, for one, will be watching.
When Fox News launched in 1996 (granted, in millions of cable TV homes), some thought it would fail. In April it marked “100 months in a row as the most-watched cable news channel,” reported the Orlando Sentinel.
P.S. Last week, I was on the on the elliptical machine at the gym when a totally hot guy came up to talk to me (I was so psyched). He looked right at me and said, “I like your t-shirt, do you know where I can watch it? That’s the thing with that guy from ‘Frasier,’ right?” Sigh.
