“We need to send our elected officials a message that Coloradans do not want reckless spending,” Kelly Maher, co-founder of WhoSaidYouSaid, told National Review Online for a story posted today.

WhoSaidYouSaid’s billboard campaign, “They Spend. You Pay!” has been rolling out across the state the past month. See the time-lapse video above of a billboard that went up in the Fort Collins area, where seven billboards are located. Another seven are due in the Grand Junction area, with the remainder in the Denver metro area.

Here’s a map of the billboard locations around the state.

As we noted last week, the billboards invite citizens to “Stop Payment” on reckless
spending by visiting WhoSaidYouSaid.com and send “Stop Payment”
notices to those officeholders. Federal spending has ballooned to $3.7 trillion, we have a $1 trillion budget deficit and are $13 trillion in debt.

Here’s some recent coverage of the campaign…

I saw one of these billboards for the first time yesterday and thought, “what a F%#@*! joke!” Seriously, do you suffer from memory loss from drinking the Bush kool-aid?

Typical of the insightful comments one expects from those who use terms like “Bush kool aid.”
