Rosen airs WhoSaid’s take on Prop. 103 robo-dial

On Tuesday, 850 KOA radio show host Mike Rosen played the audio from our video (above) on Proposition 103, noting that a robo-dial for the $2.9 billion tax increase somehow fails to mention that it’s a  . . . tax increase. I had called the number that was on several reader’s caller ID (from the Yes on 103 camp) and commented on the recording.

According to Colorado’s Blue Book, the new tax would generate $2.9 billion over the next five years, purportedly for education. Prop. 103 itself is a bad idea, as we’ve documented. The audio of Rosen’s show can be found here. I’m on air just before 28:00 of that file.

One Response to “Rosen airs WhoSaid’s take on Prop. 103 robo-dial”

  1. William Blackburn says:

I’m from Alamosa and our school district is presently misrepresenting a tax increase, masking it as a bond refinancing measure to build a sports/vo-ag facility for our high school. The language of this ballot question is misleading and confusing, and there is a media blitz stating it is not a tax increase, even though the Ballot question says it is a question on whether or not to raise taxes. I filed a complaint with the sec of state’s election office, and they have not even bothered to acknowledge receipt of my complaint. I think this is happening in counties all over Colorado. It is obviously a concerted effort but the state to undermine and circumvent our TABOR laws on both a state and local level. Keep speaking to power. It takes a lot of courage.
