Occupiers to Hickenlooper and Hancock: “We ain’t got no riot gear.”

In response to a request from Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s office that Occupy Denver choose a leader to deal with the city, the protesters selected Shelby the border collie instead of a person. In a nominating speech, the Occupiers claimed the dog is closer to a person than a corporation, a clear dig at the Supreme Court decision in the Citizens United campaign finance case.

In addition to corporations and banks, it seems like there are two people - in particular - drawing ire from the Occupation Denverites. Both Hancock and Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper have been singled out as the villains at Occupy Denver after police enforcement actions. I recorded the video above at the Michael Moore speech [see that Daily Caller video here] where someone led this chant just before Moore’s speech:

“Hickenlooper, Hancock / We ain’t go no riot gear / We just want to be here.”
