Why fight ObamaCare? It’s the “platform” for single-payer

A bipartisan budget resolution, funding the federal government for three weeks, passed the U.S. House of Representatives today. But it was opposed by 54 Republicans, including U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who had called it a “mice or men moment” in the fight to defund ObamaCare, Politico reported.

The stakes for conservatives and libertarians in battling ObamaCare were revealed by U.S. Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich, in remarks on Monday at the National Press Club, as reported CNS News.

“…Had that bill - with all its flaws - failed, it would have taken us another decade or longer to get single-payer up and going,” said Conyers in the video above. “We view the health-care reform bill as a platform on which we are now able to move forward…”
